Access Issue: Private Property and Illinois Registered Land and Water Reserve Details

Most of the climbing at Fountain Bluff occurs on private property.
This climbing area is encumbered by a conservation easement, known as an Illinois registered Land and Water Reserve (LWR) as of 2024. Allowable uses are regulated and the natural resources on site are protected by law. Please refer to LWR section for more details.

Description

This towering wall is visible from miles away. The classic roof crack, "Casual Horrors" 5.11, splits the wall in half. There are numerous single pitch and multi-pitch routes in this area. All routes are equipped with bolted anchors. "The Coolest Route in Town" 5.9 is a must.
