Description Suggest change

Like El Refugio, this boulder is split in two to form a central cave, but unfortunately in this case the cave floor is littered with rocks, making bouldering challenging. I did note an impressive high face which looked like it could host some high quality bolted lines in the 5.10 to 5.12 range. Again, there was evidence that this boulder had been used as a shelter. Its shape and probable past use suggested the name I gave it. Unfortunately, I neglected to take photos the day I was exploring here.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow the trail downhill from El Hermano Escondido. A low rock wall lies between the two boulders. At some points the trail is on this wall, at others it detours to take the line of least resistance through the trees and brush.
