Description
Getting There
There is no established trail to the cliff. Options for the approach are either as for the original Goldmine approach and then continue south. Or a newer approach that might actually also be a better way to get to the Goldmine. New approach as follows:
From the Salt Rock parking lot hike to Big Green as normal. Continue past Big Green along the Great Wall trail until the cliff on your left peters out and the trail takes a sharp left turn. At this point look out into the woods to your right and locate a series of trees with blue rings painted on them. These blue ringed trees are your markers. Bushwhack west into the dog hobble bushes taking whatever path seems easiest. You'll cross the creek twice at pretty narrow spots but your feet will get wet. Continue following the blue ringed trees through the bushes until you pop out into a clearing. Head south along the easiest path (there's no real trail here but there is an easier path). When you get to the gully coming off the bottom of the Heart Wall take a hard turn to the right and head up to the cliff. The easiest path may be moving in and out of the gully. Follow your GPS
