Description
There is quite a bit of bouldering and at least two roped climbing areas in Estonia. The better of the two roped climbing areas is Lahe Pank (also called Leetse Pank), which is located about an hour west of Tallinn on the ocean. The capital city of Tallinn is a World Heritage Site and well worth wandering around.
Getting There
Estonia can easily be reached by driving from adjoining countries or flying. Another option is by ferry from Helsinki (about two hours) or Stockholm (overnight). Note that most car rental companies in Sweden and Finland will NOT let you take their rental cars to Estonia. That said, it is easy to rent a car once in Estonia. Car rental company Sixt (at least) will meet you at the ferry Terminal D in Tallinn with your pre-arranged rental.
