Description
Skyline Crag is a bit of a hike, but it is well worth it. The approach ascends 2000 feet in 1.64 miles and usually takes about an hour and fifteen minutes give or take. I mean, why fight the crowds on the incline when you can hike up to Skyline for your cardio and get in a few pitches while you’re at it? Two birds, one stone.
The rock here is phenomenal and more similar to Devil's Head than any of the Colorado Springs crags. This crag is located near the very top of the trail accessing the summit of Blodgett Peak. It is Southeast-facing and gets great temps in fall and spring and warm days of winter. The approach is steep and will take about an hour to an hour and a half. Micro-spikes are great for the hike up the gully in winter and spring. All routes were developed by myself and Kyle Okular. Our Army experiences influenced some of the route names.
All routes have bolted anchors. Most routes are sport, but there are a few trad lines.
