Punte di Fanes and Lagazuoi grande Rock Climbing

To access the Lagazuoi Grande (north) and Punte di Fanes area you need to decide which routes you plan to do. For the more southern located mountains (Cima Fanes Sud and Lagazuoi Nord you should also park at Falzarego pass and take the cable car up. From there you can descend to the west faces of these mountains and also access VF Tomaselli. (Be sure to summit and get back in time for the last cable car down - or maybe decend the interesting tunnel just under the cable car and walk to your car.)  For the faces further north on the ridge line (Cima Scotoni and Cima del Lago) drive to Passo Falzerago, then descend the road northwest  (road SP24 then on SP 37)  past Valparola pass and down to the hairpin turns after which you will see "Camping Sass Dlacia." Immediately after that turn east and head up to "Rifugio Capanna Alpina" where you need to pay and park. Hike to Rifugio Scotoni and continue beyond the hut on the path to Lagazuoi lake until below the mountain of choice. Leave the path and scramble over the rubble to the base of the face.
