Description
This area is located on the North side of the McNutt Wilderness area with is on BLM land. Access through a gate on the North side of the wilderness. Rock consists of mixed sandstone but most of the rock is solid with mixed portions of soft sandstone. Consists of multiple walls, Slim Shady Wall and Notorious Wall with access to multiple single pitch sport climbs as well as the Wu Tang Wall with multi-pitch sport climbing, the majority being 3 pitches. The approach is 5 mins, few hundred meters from the parking area, up the wash or west to the Wu Tang wall. There is no water here so bring your own. I have been bolting out here for a couple years and I have never seen another person. There are few developed camp sights but you can camp out here if you so choose.
Getting There
Head west on highway 68 from golden valley, turn left heading south on Egar rd. Turn right heading west at the water tower, the dirt road is a continuation of Bolsa. Go to the end of the road and head south, which will end up at the gate for McNutt Wilderness area. I recommend 4 wheel or all wheel drive although I have easily made it without substantial clearance in a sedan.
