Description
This area is for the adventurous ones. No trail and a soul crushing approach. If you're not up for a cardio testing uphill hell-hike, maybe stick to the roadside zones that are plentiful in GHSP (AVP, Contact Station, Picnic, upper LRT). For those of you that are still with me, the payoff for the hike is quite excellent. You wont see anyone else up here, the boulders are fantastic and some of the best in the Park, and you might see bears and bobcats up around Zebra, Gazelle and Highgarden Boulders. There are several boulders up here with lovely white quartzite streaks, and there are many steep test-pieces to be found.
No trails are built here, so wear appropriate hiking shoes and attire. It's advised to travel up with a friend or several both for safety and to avoid hauling tons of gear.

Getting There
Continue upward from Lowgarden and stick to the right bank of the small ephemeral stream. Once you're familiar with the area you will find an old logging road (overgrown but the bench-cut is still identifiable) for the first section. Continue along that bank, staying near the creekbed, and keep hiking up in this direction. Eventually you will see Highgarden Boulder which marks the top of the area, all the other boulders will be nearby or back downhill along the streambead back toward Lowgarden Area.
