Description Suggest change

An interesting group of orange rocks atypical of Yosemite, well off the beaten path. Expect adventurous trad climbing, solitude, plates, the occasional chicken head, some choss, and an amazing view of half dome. There are a number of older seldom repeated routes here and room for a couple more.

Getting There Suggest change

Formation is visible from the Tioga road near the Porcupine creek trailhead. Book says to approach from the pullout just west of the formation. I found using the pullout just east was a bit better. Can be done in 30 minutes if you know the way expect it take an hour. No trail do your best.
