Access Issue: Neighborhood Parking Details

Please be mindful of the neighbors on Big Rock Lake Road. Do not park along the road, generate excessive noise in the parking lot or at the cliff, or camp out. If the parking is full, use the spot at the intersection of Preston McDaniel and Nine Times Roads. This is a neighborhood, drive slow and be courteous. Violating one of these rules is an easy way to get the cliff shutdown for everyone.

Description

Most of the boulders at Big Rock are spread throughout this area. The boulders are scattered all over between the parking lot and the base of the wall. After a short walk, you’ll run into Eggland’s Best Boulders on the right. Up and behind this area (and providing you brought a machete, saw, and a set of loppers), you’ll find all the X Boulders. Returning to the trail beside Eggland’s Best, continue up the Climber’s Trail to discover the Parking Lot Boulders, Astral Boulders, Main Wall Boulders, and Upper Shaman’s Boulders.

Getting There

From the parking area, start the trail and take the Climber’s Trail fork to the right. This trail leads back to a majority of the roped climbs on the main wall/cliffs.
