The Spot Thornton opened in 1997 as Rock'n & Jam'n, one of the premiere rock climbing gyms of its time. To this day, the impressive 40' walls hold their own against more modern climbing gyms, a testament to the vision of its founders. A few cracks, flakes, & pinch aretes are built into the walls of this gym, making for a handful of natural climbs, including one beautiful flaring crack we believe remains unclimbed. A $500 cash prize from The Spot will be awarded to anyone who can put up the first ascent on Project: Flared Crack!
