Description Suggest change

Set in the small mountain town of Kasagi, you will find easy access boulders that sit along the Kizu River below Mount Kasagi. First developed in the 80's, the Kasagi Boulders features around 120 problems with a good range of difficulty.  Landing surfaces are typically good and it is known to have some of the biggest boulders in the Kansai area. Despite being along a river, the granite boulders have not been rubbed smooth by the water and provide good friction.

Mount Kasagi was the site of a battle in the 1300's during the Kenmu Restoration.

Getting There Suggest change

The JR West Kansai Line take you right to downtown Kasagi. From there, you have a short 10 minute walk to arrive at the boulders. The trip is about 1.5 hours from Osaka and 1.25 hours from Kyoto.
