Ama Dablam (22,395' / 6812m)
Known as the Matterhorn of the Himalayas, this peak was described as "unclimbable" by Sir Edmund Hillary. Nowadays, several tour operators run expeditions on Ama Dablam every spring and fall, and it is quickly becoming one of the most popular climbs in the Himalayas.
Standard route is the Southwest Ridge, which has fixed lines during the two popular climbing seasons. Fixed lines fees are required (usually around $500 USD). The route has a mixture of ice, rock, and mixed terrain. There are also alternative routes, albeit with no fixed lines.

Getting There Suggest change
