The Cimon Della Palla Massif is a collection of mountains above San Martino di Castrozza, including some well-travelled via ferratas and climbing routes, most notably the normal route on the massif's namesake.

Getting There Suggest change

The Funivia Rosetta cable car in San Martino di Castrozza is a great way to get quickly up to Bar Colverde, from which you can hike to the various routes in the area. The second stage of the cable car heads up/down to/from Rif. Rossetta, which makes for a great fast way down afetr the day's activity. There are also trails heading up or down from San Martino if needed, under the cable car route. It's been said that the downhill section between Rif Rosetta and Bar Colverde is an unpleasant steep hike, so at least for us, we prioritized catching the cable car down!
