Description Suggest change

A remnant of a larger volcano that formed 200k years ago, the Black Tusk stands an ominous black amidst the white glaciers, blue lakes, and grey granite of Garibaldi Park. The Black Tusk is volcanic (read: chossy) so keep this in mind.

Getting There Suggest change

The standard approach begins at Rubble Creek Trailhead. Follow the established trail through Taylor Meadows to the Black Tusk Viewpoint. Continue another 500m on a climbers’ trail to the base. A day use permit is now required to park at Rubble Creek.
