Description
This area is located in front of Escondida Beach. Rock type is limestone, its shady all day with sandy ground. There are 5 problems in the range V1-V4 considered high boulders with heights of 18-22 feet. There are other short boulder (up to 7-8 feet high) with problems ranging from Vb to V3.
Three sub areas so far:
I. Main Wall = where all high boulders are located
II. Coco Boulder = first boulder found right before getting to the Main Wall, to the right of the trail.
III. Cave = Not visible from the trail. Need to keep right from the main wall, go through a narrow passage with small palm trees and at about 20 feet from where you started go up through the obvious rocky access, found it.
This area is still developing. Feel free to add more problems to the list, just make sure to add pictures, a name, draw the line to better identify the boulder problem and clean the area for others to enjoy.
Crash pads, shoes and chalk can be rented in Roca Norte (Vega Baja) anytime from Monday to Sunday.
Rules for this area are shown close to the parking lot. Take a time to read it. Remember you will find mountain bikers and hikers in the same trail, be cautious and considered with mountain bikers as they have the right to pass.
