Description
Several beautiful peaks on the North Green Creek ridgeline that are accessed from the Green Creek Basin (Mythic Wall, Green Creek Arete). Many of these peaks are inaccessible on the South Twin Glacier side past May, as major snow moat issues exist.
Getting There
From Bellingham, drive to Mosquito Lake Road until a left turn on Middle fork road ~12 miles to the Elbow Lake Trailhead. The crux of the entire Green Creek Basin is often the river crossing. Look for a large log crossing that may or may not exist. Hike 1.5 miles of beautiful old growth. Just before a sharp switchback find a climbers path heading up the Green Creek. Locate Mythic Wall or Green Creek arete for access up to the South side of the ridgeline, or find new routes further up the basin's North side on available rock arete's to several unnamed summits.
