Description Suggest change

Beer Garden is steeper and taller than most of the Ouray Ice Park. Grades start at WI4 and quickly go up. Depending on how early in the season it is, the ice may be a series of pillars or a giant continuous wall. Either way, it's fun. Most every route is less than 35 meters, and trees are usually within 30' of the cliff edge. The approach trail to get up to or down from the top is on the climber's right side of the wall.

Getting There Suggest change

Pull into the parking lot a 1/4 mile past the Dynamite Shack. A warming tent, firepit, bathroom, and picnic tables are in the parking lot.

Details: The wall is generally shady. Sun can be had by walking the short distance back to the parking lot. Lake City is great.
