Description Suggest change

Almost always sunny and climbable in winter pretty much any time it is not actively raining, Lake McSwain is a dammed off section of the Merced River. There are a couple of larger boulders right next to the water. I would not recommend taking a trip out here just to climb. The swimming and recreation area is very nice and the fishing is very good. If you happen to own a pad, and are out there already, and don't mind sparing a few minutes, these boulders could be a good time.

Getting There Suggest change

Putting in Lake McSwain recreation area on google maps should get you there. Otherwise find your way to Lake McClure Road and head down it until you reach the recreation area and head down to the water right next to the dam. The boulders are very obvious right in that area.
