Description Suggest change

In the shade all day, Shadow Realm has some of the better rock quality in the surrounding area. The rock lends itself to slopey, friction crimps. With a few scattered boulders and an obvious, prominent face along the cliff line, it boasts as possibly the best area at Gateway Mesa.

Getting There Suggest change

From the parking lot, take Chuck's Loop to the right (east) until coming to a junction that borders the cliff line. Find the cell tower close by to know you are in the right area. Turn right (east) onto the Legacy Trail just behind the cell tower. You will come upon the Cellular Corridor along the trail, and then drop down below the ridge line, and head north, which will take you to Shadow Realm.

If approaching by heading left (north) from the parking lot, take Chuck's Loop, and avoid the first left that marks the beginning of the Legacy Trail. Instead, stay on Chuck's Loop for roughly half a mile, and go left (north) to access the mid-point of the Legacy Trail. The Magnetti Area is close by. Drop below the ridge line via Legacy, and head right (east) to get to Shadow Realm.
