Description

The Bozen/Bolzano area in Southern Tyrol/Northern Italy offers a number of fine crags that can frequently be climbed when alpine climbs in the Dolomites are not an option (poor weather, out of season). The temperatures are generally warmer than many other areas.

Bozen/Bolzano offers pretty much everything, including a number of climbing shops (Mountain Spirit, etc.)

Getting There

Bozen/Bolzano is the major hub for Southern Tyrol and easily accessed via by car, rail, or regional flight. Closest international airports are Muenich and Milan, both roughly a three hour drive.
