WET ROCK: Holds rip off and climbs have been and will continue to be permanently damaged due to climbers not respecting this phenomenon. After a heavy storm the rock will remain wet, sometimes for several days. PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB IN MOAB during or after rain.
RAPTOR CLOSURES: please be aware of seasonal raptor closures. They occur annually in the spring.

Description
Pyramid Butte offers solitude and a class 4 hike up to an isolated summit with great views of the Colorado river and evaporation lakes. The rock (dirt) is poor quality and the technical climbing very short.
Getting There
It's ~26 miles from Moab along Potash Road. Drive along Potash Rd until the pavement ends, then continue on a very bumpy dirt road and pass the strikingly beautiful blue evaporation lakes. Pyramid Butte is the mountain directly south of the evaporation lakes. The hike to the summit is from the western side, for which you can use a dirt road to get your car a bit nearer - it starts in a wash just west of the 90 degree bend where Potash Rd turns from due south to due west. No real parking spot on the dirt road, just stop and pull-off when you feel you're close enough.
