Description Suggest change

This is the band of rock around 80 feet tall along Interstate 80 between the Dunnfield Creek Parking Area and Old Mine Road. This cliff has some great climbing on it with steep approaches. This area was first used for mountain rescue top access drills in the late 1970's and didn't see much activity until the early to mid-2000's by Joey Vulpis and Micky Levine. Several routes exist on this cliff and all are single-pitch. Be cautious of rockfall here and use a tether if accessing these cliffs from the top.

Getting There Suggest change

Park your car in the Dunnfield Creek Lot and you can either walk in the treeline just off the Interstate or you can approach the cliffs from the top. For top access: Get on the Appalachian Trail (AT) from the Dunnfield Creek Parking Area and head over the wooden bridge. Make a left over the bridge and walk South on the AT for a couple of minutes and then turn right/West and head up the hill until you meet a trail. Make a left on that trail and follow it around until you reach the top of the cliffs overlooking Interstate 80 and the Delaware River.
