Description
The Rubber Room is the small 'room' made by three boulders on the south slope of De Gaulle's Nose. The entrance to the room is most readily visible next to the short, crunchy, layback flake on the south-east side of the southern most boulder making up the room (see labeled photo for area marked with the number 2) however one can also enter the room by walking in through the north-east. Tree Crack is also on the south face of one of the three boulders making up the Rubber Room and the east face of this boulder, visible while in the room, presents a beautiful crimp speckled face reminiscent of The Hunk in Bishop, CA.
Cool and shady, the Rubber Room is classic.
Getting There
To be edited in. The GPS coordinates are not yet accurate.
The Rubber Room boulders sit on the south most side of the De Gaulle's Nose formation.
Walking from the west side of the formation: you walk past the A- and B-Side Cracks boulder and keep walking uphill (south/south-east) until Tree Crack is visible. The entrance to the room is around the boulder to the right of Tree Crack, right of the unnamed layback flake.
