Description

Home to some of the best ice and one of the best rifugios in Lombardia. This small valley sit just outside the Adamello group and is a popular spot with the Brescia ice climbers. There's also a good amount of ski touring in the valley.

Be sure to stop in Rifugio Cascata for a cappuccino on the way in, and grab a hot panino and cheap beer on the way out.

Getting There

From Brescia, take the SP510 north, following the east side of Lago d'Iseo, until you reach the SS42 at the north end of the lake. Follow the SS42 north until Vezza d'Oglio. Leave the highway, and follow the signs for Val Paghera. Leave the car at the small parking area at the mouth of the canyon (closed to cars in winter) and start walking
