Description

It seemed to be generally softer rock than what is found downriver by Dove Creek. I only know of this one climb in the area, but more may have been done.

Getting There

Turn off of CO 491 just north of Pleasant View onto Rd. 15 headed north. Turn right (east) on Rd S. Turn right (south) on Rd 16. Turn left (east) on Rd S. Follow the road down into the canyon, and cross the bridge. Set your odometer at the bridge. Stay right at all intersections following signs for the McPhee Dam. After 7 miles, the tower is on the left (north). Find the path of least resistance through the scrub oak to the base of the tower.
