If you use chalk on the rock, brush it off when you are done. If you use tick marks, brush them off when you are done. Wipe your feet off prior to each climbing attempt. Excess chalk and any dirt, leaves, or mud can polish holds over time. Do not drag your pad from one climb to the next (in order to minimize erosion). And most importantly, Leave No Trace. Pick up your trash and place it in the trash cans at the trail head.
Description
This area has plenty of moderate climbs less than three minutes from the McCollum Campground. If you are camping here, you can wake up first thing in the morning and warm up on over 50 nicely featured problems. If you are not camping here, please park outside of the campground at the entrance and walk in. Hopefully, in the future, there will be a designated parking area for climbing!
Getting There
From the front gate, drive towards to overlook until you pass the water treatment facility on the right. The next parking area on the right is the designated parking area. You'll see the entrance to the McCollum campground to the left. From the parking area, you can either hike into the campground, or hike down the Scott Run trail to the desired sub-area.
