Warning Access Issue: Some areas, no climbing - Jan. 1st through mid-April. Seasonal wildlife closures in Echo Canyon make ice climbing a difficult prospect midwinter (further details below). Additionally, some climbs cross and/or are on private property. Ask permission before crossing obvious private land and fencing. DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Fickle but fun ice close to Park City, Evanston, WY and Henefer, UT. Some years this zone can "light up" and come in fat on the heels of a few big snowstorms, sunny days with cold clear nights for melt-freeze machine to kick in. Some climbs are "legal" to access after January 1st others probably not. Use your own discretion, be quiet & discrete...quick hit, pre-dawn missions are the way to go on some climbs. Some landowners look the other way/don't care, others are NOT PSYCHED.

Getting There Suggest change
