The Streambed Boulder

Rhode Island > Lincoln Woods > Pond Cave Area > Talus Area

Description

Slightly shorter than Redeemer, The Streambed boulder hosts a variety of easier problems for anyone looking to get warmed up in the area and not wanting to have to stop at Sit Down or Pond Cave first to do so. The majority of the problems on the Streambed boulder are slab or face climbs with positive holds; the boulder does hold some trickier climbs, a few reminiscent of Lost Girls or Suzy B/Flakes.

Getting There

Head To Sit Down Area, following the trail behind the Pedestal boulder hike back into the woods and then instead of going left at the intersection, as for Pond Cave, continue on straight down a trail that will curve left as you are going down a slight hill. The Talus Area will be off the right side of this trail, all the boulders are visible from the main trail; you break off this trail to the right, stepping over a low stone retaining wall, to head down the hill to approach the boulders.

The Streambed boulder sits just above the small stream running through this zone, it is just below the Redeemer, and is the easiest boulder in this zone to access as it is the closest to the trail.
