Description Suggest change

The Ameristar is quite simply one of the most incredible boulders on the Front Range. Named after the unmistakably huge nearby Ameristar Casino, this remarkable zone hosts a couple of amazing hard lines. With a sunny aspect, as well as a less than 10 minute approach on a developed trail, I really hope this area can become popular.

Getting There Suggest change

From the main intersection in Black Hawk, head west on the CO 119 until a left turn onto Chase St., which is a small neighborhood road. It is west of the Gold Rush (?) Casino and east of the fire station. Follow the paved road through the nice and quiet valley passing underneath the obvious boulder. The road becomes dirt and at a locked gate, there is limited parking. Start on the trail, making the first right possible onto a hike only trail that leads up to the Tram Trail. Head right on that until you reach the boulder. Though that seems complex, it’s very easy and fun walking to the boulder.
