Description
Granite cliff about 50’ tall. Located on the opposite side of the Sugar Cube. Currently, there are two bolted routes here—Super Troopers and Tapline. There is also a third set of anchors for an easier slab.
Getting There
The trail head begins on the far south end of the parking loop near the map station. Hike for about 1/4 mile on Old Growth Trail and the Sugar Cube rock face will appear on the left side of the trail about 100 feet south. The Sugar Shack is on the same peak but the south facing side. I find the easiest approach is to go to the Sugar Cube, and then take the access to top on either side (climbers left is a bit easier). Once on top, find the rappel anchors for south facing face and rappel at base. You can walk around, also, but there is not yet a real defined trail.
