Description Suggest change

This stretch of Pi'ikea Gulch is a corridor lined with 10-15’ overhanging to vertical well featured walls for about two hundred feet. A rock dam naturally divides this area into two sections. The upper section is a small boiling pot and the lower part is a taller corridor with several overhangs. Trees along the top of the gulch cover the area in shade all day but it’s still open enough that it's usually dry and free of vegetation. The rock is solid, almost as solid as blue stone, and most problems here have excellent flat gravel landings.

Getting There Suggest change

In the gulch about a quarter mile makai of the bridge. Pi'ikea Papili can be passed by scrambling down the waterfall or using the climber's trail across the top of the papili.
