Description
This area holds several crags along the stretch of highway between Keystone Resort and Loveland Pass. These high elevation crags offer gorgeous scenery of the surrounding national forest and stay cool on even the hottest of days. Many original lines here are old school in nature and require trad gear and knowledge of anchor building. However, there has been a pulse of recent development, and this scenic drive is quickly churning out new bolted lines. Enjoy the subalpine feel, and keep a vigilant eye out for sudden storms.
Getting There
From Silverthorne, head east on US Highway 6 following signs for Keystone and A-Basin. Continue past Keystone Resort as if you were heading to Loveland Pass, staying left at the distinct fork (turning right will take you onto Montezuma Rd. as well as the majority of the Keystone crags). The crags are scattered over the 9ish miles to Loveland Pass, so look to the subareas for specific directions from this point.
