Do you want more long moderate face climbing? Sure, why not, you've been good lately.

Southern Sun Spire forms a nice, secluded alcove with the switchblade giving the crag good shelter from the wind.

This can be a great crag to warm up, cool down, or even do a bolted multi-pitch climb.

Getting There Suggest change

As for all Sawblade areas: park at the Fire Lookout Trail, hike the trail to the switchback with the picnic table, and turn off left (more of a don't turn right) here for the East Side Express. Charge through the woods until a fork, take the right fork, and huff steeply through up to the Passageway tunnel.

This wall faces the Switchblade, the last stretch can be tricky for dumb pets and young kids.

Details: The Switchblade blocks the early morning rays making this a viable warm up spot on hot days. It then roasts until the sun is past it's apex at 1/2ish. No trees in the belay area, bring protection.
