Description

In the first quarry when approaching from the Wincopin Trailhead there is the toad boulder and a few other interesting but chossy pieces of rock. This area doesn't get much sun and will take longer to dry after rain than the second quarry - located further down the trail.

Getting There

Park in the Wincopin trailhead parking lot or on the side of Vollmerhausen Rd. assuming the lot is full (which it often is) and take a look at the map by the parking lot. There are two quarries noted on that map and the fastest way to both of them is by taking the red trail until you can turn left onto the green trail. The toad boulder
