Description Suggest change

A solid, fairly clean highball wall of old rag granite in the bear cave area. Tallest boulder face in the bear cave area by an obvious margin.

Getting There Suggest change

This boulder is hard to miss once you step off the main hiking trail at the bear cave boulder area - it was the first, most aesthetic boulder I noticed when searching through the area for the first time. This wall is a part of the first noticeable viewpoint slab on which hikers stop to rest - note that the bear cave area is about a quarter mile short of the true beginning of the rock scramble in the clockwise loop direction. It is the first spot from atop which a view of Robertson mountain is open to the west. The boulder face lies just above the Cat Scratch Overhang boulder.
