Access Issue: NO DRONES ON NATIONAL PARKLANDS
Details
All of the crags within the New River Gorge proper are on national parklands, and drone use is prohibited here. There has been some discussion about places to launch drones that are not on park property, and then flying them over the gorge. This is super poor form; don't do it. Park regulations prohibit all drone use over the boundaries without a permit.
Description
A nice area with a good number of problems and decently concentrated. The Mellifluous boulder is a standout in terms of quality and position.
Getting There
Park in the Fern Creek parking lot, which will be the first parking lot on Lansing-Edmond. Follow the trail from the parking lot until you see a "Climber Access" sign. Follow this trail, trending right until you see the ladder. Getting down the ladders is a bit of a squeeze with pads, and may require multiple trips. Once you get down the ladders, turn right to access most of the boulders, or turn left and go through the corridor to access the Mellifluous boulder.
