Description
"P4 Boulder" is short for "Peter Piper Picked a Pebble".
This clear and prominent feature stands out starkly and has the power to pull the Curious, Courageous and Crazy to it.
Its approximately 20ft tall and you can walk off the back! Climb it as a Highball Boulder problem or set a JTree style anchor in the back of the feature to toprope it. (Will require 30-40ft of 7-8mm cordelette)
To be clear, I do not think I was the first to climb this feature given the vast and long standing history of the area. If anyone has info on it or records of Pre-2018 route sends, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. It is not my wish to step on toes or lay claim to a FA or FFA that has already been established.
Getting There
Its not hard to spot this beautiful boulder. It can easily be seen from CFE and the Y-crack.
While walking to along the Cactus Flower East Trail make a right turn just after trail marker CF12 bearing North on a game trail that leads you to the base of the P4 Boulder.
GPS point puts you at the base; 33.733618, -111.865113
