Description
Scenic area with some quality bouldering discovered by Michael Brown, Ian Guggenheimer, and Ray Weber!
Michael Brown, Ian Guggenheimer, and Ray Weber have been developing the area since March of 2020. The approach to the 1st area (Night Moves area) is about a 3 minute walk on a flat, well maintained trail with each farther area about 2-5 minutes apart from each other.
Cell service can be bad out here so I recommend making sure you have Ohio downloaded on the Mountain Project app so you can follow the trails I have uploaded, as well as downloading all the pictures for Raven Rocks.
The 4 main areas of Raven Rocks (Night Moves, The Point, Pine Ridge, North Gorge) are all easy to access and right alongside a trail. All of the smaller areas require off trail navigation by following a pin and are very hard to access in the summer so please plan accordingly.
Please do not climb in the main gorge area as this could potentially cause access issues. A lot of people hike through it and I think we would get some complaints if we started climbing there. It is worth hiking through if you've never been here before. The scenery is reminiscent of Hocking Hills but the main gorge trail is only a quarter mile or so.
