Description

Rumiñahui does not require a guide. Like most large mountains in ecuador. It has some steep faces, 4 peaks and full of adventure. The largest peak is 4721m or 15,484ft

Rumiñahui no requiere guía. Como la mayoría de las montañas grandes de Ecuador. Tiene algunas caras empinadas, 4 picos y lleno de aventuras.

Getting There

Follow the "Avenida de los Volcanes" (Avenue of the Volcanoes) road from south of Quito which is the back road to Cotopaxi National Park. The road is bumpy but you'd be fine without 4x4. About 1/2 miles to 1 mile from the Guard Station into Cotopaxi National Park (don't enter the park) pull over into one of several dirt turnouts on the side of the highway.

You can also access this mountain from the south entrance of the Cotopaxi National Park. Go to laguna limpio pungo, to access the trail to the central peak.

Siga la "Avenida de los Volcanes" (Avenida de los Volcanes) desde el sur de Quito que es la carretera de regreso al Parque Nacional Cotopaxi. El camino está lleno de baches pero estarías bien sin un 4x4. Aproximadamente 1/2 milla a 1 milla desde la estación de guardia hacia el Parque Nacional Cotopaxi (no ingrese al parque) deténgase en uno de los varios desvíos de tierra al costado de la carretera. También se puede acceder a esta montaña desde la entrada sur del Parque Nacional Cotopaxi. Ir a laguna limpio pungo, para acceder al sendero al pico central.
