Description

Sector Staumauer is an interesting east and south facing climbing area located directly above the dam on the secons tear cliff face. There are 7+ routes here with grades that range from 6a+ to 7a. The approach logistics vary from repelling into to the climbs or scrambeling broken rock/scree fo a multi pitch ish endeavour. Some routes are beautiful while others are questionable at best so be sure to look at the quality and description. That being said the views are spectacular and the experience is adventurous compared to most sport climbing areas.

Getting There

Sector Staumauer is approached by either repelling into the routes from Sector Lake Side or climbing a short pitch of rock that starts downhill of the road on the top of the dam. The logistics can be tricky so be sure to check the individual route description or topo beta.
