Slab Ramp Rock Climbing

Is the Quarry Proper too crowded? Bounce to the right, as you approach from your car, and enjoy more instant toprope heroing action. The first obvious climbs are off of the actual "ramp" section, which makes for a less-than-horizontal belay. These routes are about 40-50 feet and all can be accessed from the top if you wish to set draws are set up a TR. Some of the other routes will be accessed by rapping in towards CO Hwy 141. Most routes will have the name and grade tagged on the anchors. There are pure sport, mix, and trad lines to suit the fancy of pretty much anyone. The climbing in this zone can be funky and host some interesting granite moves. Be prepared to whip out all the Unaweep tricks.

Please be respectful of your impact, and pack out whatever you pack in. Wind tends to whip through and can send your trash over the cliff edge.

The routes typically face west and most will have morning shade and afternoon sun. They are great for the Summer morning chill or afternoon Fall/Winter sun seekers.
