Northwest Mox Peak

Washington > Northwest Region > Hwy 20 & N Casc… > N Cascades > Chilliwack Range

Description

The 'easy' Mox Peak. A twin spire to the Southeast Mox Peak, which is famous for being among the hardest peaks to attain in the Cascades on many lists; while the Northwest Peak is certainly easier, it is not to be taken lightly. It is a similarly-sized monster of discordant, loose gneiss and is rarely climbed.

Getting There

Approach the Spickard-Mox group from a Ross Lake or Chilliwack Lake (Perry Creek) bushwhack.

[Hide Comment] To clarify some info on the "Getting There" section: The easiest approach would be the Depot Creek approach from Chilliwack Lake in Canada. Other options are Silver Creek from Ross Lake, or Perry Creek from Ross Lake (via Little Beaver) Jun 8, 2023
