Description Suggest change

The Burbank Boulder is a proud-looking 10-15ft erratic perched atop NE finest bedrock. some of the block is unclimbable due to its bald belly, but there's at least five viable routes, likely more.

The downclimb is opposite the Trailside approach from Doane Street; however, it isn't a gimme and there's bedrock below.   There are usually logs stacked conveniently near the down climb for building a log ladder.  Might be wise if bouldering solo.

Getting There Suggest change

It is most easily accessed using the Doane Street entrance (Cohasset).   Enter through the brown gate, and walk 5-7 minutes on Doane street (paved fire road). At your first major paved crossroads, you'll see a sign giving directions to all other parts of Wompatuck. Instead, look for the NS1 trail marker sign (on a tree), and enter the trail.

Enter NS-1, and keep right at NS-4 and NS-5 walking maybe 5 minutes in total.   You'll eventually run into a gorgeous, albeit smooth boulder perched atop bedrock. This is Burbank Boulder.    NS-9 is JUST past the boulder.
