Description Suggest change

Mt. Harmon is located to the South of Eagle's Peak and to the North of Stanley Canyon. The mountain is also known as "Academy Peak".

Robert Ormes “Guide to the Colorado Mountains” (1973) lists Mt. Harmon (aka Academy Peak) as the parent peak for South Peak and North Peak (aka Eagle’s Peak). However, a USGS marker a the top of South Peak indicates it is 15’ higher than Mt. Harmon making it the parent peak. Regardless, Eagle’s Peak is the most hiked out of the three, as it has better views and an established trail.

Getting There Suggest change

The summit of Mt. Harmon is located at GPS Coordinates 38.99507, -104.91395. Follow the Eagle's Peak trail, and turn to the South about 500 feet from the summit. Hike through a saddle, and continue to the South until you reach the top.
