Golden Ears Provincial Park is one of the largest parks in BC and is located about an hours drive away from Vancouver, just north of Maple Ridge.

The park can be very crowded on summer weekends, with the main attraction for tourists being Alouette Lake.

Getting There Suggest change

Golden Ears Provincial Park lies in the Coast Mountains 11 km north of Maple Ridge on the north side of the Fraser River.

Camping

Golden Ears has three drive-in campgrounds: Gold Creek, Alouette and North Beach.

Gold Creek campground is open year-round.

Reservations are required for all the campgrounds, and can be made online.

Winter Gate Closures

During the winter, the main gates of the parked are locked daily between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. 

Plan accordingly.
