Description
Looking up the Athabasca Glacier from the Information Centre at the Columbia Icefields parking lot, Mounts Athabasca & Andromeda grab all the attention lookers left of the glacier. Much less impressive from this vantage point is Mount Snowdome bordering the glacier on the right. But continuing north on the Icefields Parkway another 1 km. and its impressive east and north faces are soon revealed. Several major winter alpine objectives are situated on this east face, including Slipstream.
