Description

Great for beginners and some high ball thrills. A secluded area at the treeline of the base of Bald Mountain. You should climb here on weekends or after 5:00pm on weekdays. [Current ownership status is unknown. R Hall NH Admin ]

Getting There

Heading from Sunapee to Newport on Route 103, take a right onto Bald Mtn Rd. This road is across from Edgewood Park Dr. and is alongside Pine Grove Cementary. Continue on this road until you reach a fork. Take a right at the fork (continues on Bald Mtn Rd). When you reach the second fork, take a left on the lesser-packed dirt road. Continue and take the first right up the hill. Continue going uphill until you reach a cleared lookout area; there may be heavy machinery and other wooden scrap there. You know you are in the right place if you can see a tire wall on your left. Stretching along the treeline are numerous boulders. You can find even more further into the woods.
