Description Suggest change

The Amphitheater hosts a set of moderate problems in a quiet setting. You're likely to have the area to yourself.

Getting There Suggest change

Just before reaching the first boulders of Lower Mad Meadows, head up the right fork to avoid the scramble/climbers/pads. Once up to level ground, continue along trail down-canyon (don't turn left towards Playground), trail will dip downhill slightly to a very apparent freestanding pillar/detached rock on your left, then start heading uphill a bit. When it levels out, the Amphitheater problems will be down to the right.
