REMF Wall
Colorado
> S Platte
> Crystal Fortress
Description
This is the MACV Wall's little brother. While it may not be the premiere wall of the crag, this western/south-facing portion hosts some great moderate routes on fantastic stone. The moderate routes are well protected for climbers leading at those grades.
The leftmost flank of stone has 3 wonderful moderates on an awesome less than vertical panel of rock.
The right side of the wall has a top shelf area that cuts away about half of the height of the MACV Wall and hosts a few cool routes on steep stone. There is also a lower shelf that currently contains one route. This set of tiers holds potential for a few more routes.
Getting There
This is the leftmost wall on CF. It is short and faces South and Southwest. From the top of the trail described in the crag approach, the REMF wall extends to the left. Right in front of you is 17th Parallel. Hike left for the other routes. Look for an obvious less-than-vertical shield of stone with three sets of anchors at the top which is the left end of the crag. From there walk right onto the ledge for Bamboo Telegraph and The USO Show.
